Happy Birthday Isaiah!

I cant believe that my first born son has grown up so quickly.
I am officially the mother of a nine year old!

Isaiah is a very unique child.
He is quite mature and evolved for such a young person.
I've always known that he was a particularly special boy.
His first word was a sentence. "Hi dad."

He is curious, strong-willed, empathetic, and independent.
He loves to learn and search for answers to pressing questions that he may have.
His intelligence is astounding and I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom.
He has taught me so many things that I never knew before.
His favorite subjects/fascinations have included dinosaurs, reptiles, dragons, weather, art, animals, everything related to science, and most currently, video games.
When he finds a subject that interests him, he studies it in depth.
Becomes obsessed to a certain degree.
He not only learns all he can, he remembers and retains all the informations discovered.

Isaiah loves Nintendo and video games. Specifically Mario Brother and The Legend of Zelda games.
He collects Nintendo gaming systems and has become quite the connoisseur.
He is an excellent online shopper.
He loves poetry, especially Shel Silverstein.
He has many poems memorized and will occasionally recite them for us to enjoy.
He loves school, especially science.
He would excell if he were ever on a debate team because the kid loves to argue.
He loves his brother and sister and cant wait to have a new baby brother to play with.
We all adore Isaiah and are so happy that he is a part of our family.

Happy Birthday my sweet sweet son!

A few weeks ago, Isaiah and I went on a date.
We visited my friend Alisha and she photographed us together.
It was such a special experience for me to be in front of the camera with my baby, who isn't really a baby anymore.
I will treasure these images forever.

Comments:
Happy Birthday Isaiah! I can not believe he is 9 already. My how time flies by. I hope he has a great birthday.

Does he have an old game boy from the early 90's? If not I have a working one somewhere and if I can find it I will certainly send it to him.

love love love this boy!

ohymgosh he looks SO MUCH like Steven in that first one I can't even believe it.

My first memory of Isaiah is still such a clear one. A little sunbeam who volunteered to give the prayer and didn't need any help. So precocious and clever and highly intelligent. Happy Birthday, Isaiah!

These are such beautiful images of you two! i would love some like these with my babies! happy birthday Isaiah! you are such a handsome guy!
