Girls Camp

I'm off to girls camp with the young women of my ward. We are going to Mia shalom for 5 whole days. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I will not be in contact with my family for 5 days! That feels like forever. I am really looking forward to the experience though. Spending a week in the great outdoors sounds like exactly what I need. Throw in a little time for meditation and self reflection, a healthy dose of spirituality, crafts, hiking, and some good old fashioned roughing it and I am bubbling over with excitement!

Comments:
Oh I'm so happy for you! Moms need a healthy dose of "away" time. I don't get nearly enough! Have a blast!
*Although.....I followed your link to the camp site, and it says for girls 12-18. I just read your birthday post to your son, who turned 7. That means you had your son somewhere between the ages of 5 & 11? That's....interesting. :)

Im laughing right now Jenny! I got started early in life! : )

Talk to you all when I get back!!

I love Mia Shalom! Some of my best memories of being a teenager are up at Shalom. Have fun and be sure to slide down the glacier for me!

When I was a yw leader, I never had to go to girls camp because I was either pregnant or had a small child. And I was SO happy about that. Hope you have/ had fun!
