Our story begins...

Once upon a time there was a lovely little family. They were known to all as The Haddocks but to each other they were known as so much more. The characters in this story are a lively bunch with many interesting and brilliant qualities. In fact, they are the people nearest and dearest to my heart and I'm thrilled to be able to tell their stories. We will begin with the youngest because lets face it, she cant wait patiently enough to be last.

Meet Sophia Lily. This little one is very much a girlie girl. Not prissy in any way though, in fact she is more of the "au natural" type. She is easy going and very laid back. We often find her in her room dancing and twirling in cirlces. She loves to sing and has a repertoire of songs that she sings very well. One of her favorite games to play is pretending to take naps and telling us to be quiet so as not to disturb her. The irony is that actually getting her to take a nap is one of life's biggest challenges. She is very loving and gentle with her family, her pets, and her friends. She is best friends with her older brother Matias and they play together so nicely. She is sweet and affectionate and loves giving butterfly kisses. She truly lights up our lives.

This is Matias Daniel. Matias' personality is a roller coaster of emotions with waves of love and anger, demands and gentle appreciation. He loves fantasy and adventure. He sees himself as a superhero who can save the rest of us from the "bad guys" who could attack at anytime. He is always eager when asked, and sometimes when not asked, to show you his muscles. He loves wearing pajamas and would live in them 24/7 if we allowed it. He is not one to argue with because if you attempt it, you'll most likely lose. He enjoys watching football with his dad and is blessed with natural athletic ability. He is a joy to have around and we cant imagine our lives without him.

Meet Isaiah Steven. Our first born and a true indigo child. This little boy is extremely intelligent. He is an artist, an author, an inventor, a scientist, an animal genius, and a Harry Potter enthusiast. He is in first grade and loves school. He is very articulate and curious. He loves reading encyclopedias and dictionaries and anything that gives him as much information about the world around him as possible. He asks an endless stream of questions and if I don't know the answers he's looking for he heads straight for the Internet. He is gentle and kind and sensitive to other peoples feelings. He has the unique ability to shine in any social situation and yet is perfectly content to entertain himself for hours at a time. I have much to learn from him.

There are more characters to introduce and in time you'll meet them all, but for now, these three will do. They are the stars, and will be the highlights of many future blogs.
